Hojicha powder in 2 variants. This modern interpretation of Hojicha tea is not the loose leaf tea variant, but rather Hojicha in finely ground form, which is similar to classic matcha in preparation. Our heavily roasted version impresses with a coffee-like roasted aroma with nutty flavor nuances, while the lightly roasted version has more of a green tea aroma.

PREPARATION - HOW QUICKLY AND EASILY YOU PREPARE YOUR ROASTED MATCHA
It is prepared in the same way as a classic matcha tea. Put 1-2 grams of the tea powder into a matcha bowl. The best way to measure out the powder is with a matcha bamboo spoon (chashaku) - in this case that would be 1-2 heaped spoons.
Next, add water at around 80 degrees to the powder and foam it up with a matcha whisk (Chasen) for 15-20 seconds until the foam is nice and creamy. The best way to do this is to use quick zigzag movements of the wrist. Imagine you are tracing the letter W with the whisk.
When the surface is foamy all the way through, add a little more hot water if you like. The less water you add, the more intense the taste of your matcha tea will be. To start with, we recommend about 80ml for 1-2 grams of roasted matcha powder.
